HEALING HANDS ON A MISSION
Medical Mission : "Your Health is our Wealth"

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs, in partnership with the Integrated Philippines Association of Optometrists (IPAO) Lanao-Iligan City Chapter and the Office of Medical, Dental, and Health Services (OMDHS), organized a Free Optical Check-up event titled "Your Vision is our Mission" at the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) Gymnasium.

The initiative, held from July 5-7 and August 22-24, 2022, catered to over 200 beneficiaries including MSU-IIT personnel and community members from partner barangays: Saray, Acmac, Luinab, and Santa Elena.

The beneficiaries received free optical, medical, and dental consultations, along with complementary medicines and reading glasses. The event aimed to address various health needs, from basic vital signs check-ups to specialized consultations with invited specialists.

A BRIGHT FUTURE STARTS WITH A CLEAR VISION
Optical Mission Activity: “Your Vision is our Mission”  at Tambo Central School and Iligan City Central School

In a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for young learners, the MSU-IIT WE CARE Office joined hands with the Integrated Philippines Association of Optometrists-Iligan Chapter (IPAO) and the MSU-IIT National Multi-Purpose Cooperative to organize and execute an Optical Mission Activity across 10 districts within the Department of Education-Iligan City Division.

This initiative, driven by a shared commitment to holistic student welfare, focused on delivering comprehensive eye care services to elementary students. Through free eye check-ups and the provision of eyeglasses, the mission targeted a minimum of 80 students grappling with visual impairments, with the overarching goal of bolstering their reading comprehension abilities.

By addressing vision-related challenges early on, the endeavor sought to remove barriers to learning and facilitate improved academic performance among the participating students.
